With the voluntary notification submission to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Lipid Nutrition, can now officially use the following four structure/function claims for Clarinol™ CLA:

·         Clarinol™ reduces weight gain
·         Clarinol™ increases lean muscle mass
·         Clarinol™ reduces the amount of body fat
·         Clarinol™ maintains body weight level

“The passage of 30 days after filing the structure/function claims means that the FDA believes we have substantial evidence to make such claims,” said David R. Lewis, Business Unit Manager, North America, for Lipid Nutrition. “With this notification we expect to expand its Clarinol™ CLA marketing activities.”

This development follows Clarinol™ CLA’s introduction of Clarinol™ A95.  Until recently, 80% was the highest form of active CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) isomers available with access to the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) patent claims of inducing body fat and increasing lean muscle mass. Now, Clarinol™ A95 offers the highest form of active CLA isomers at 95%.

Clarinol™ A95 offers distinct advantages over the conventional 80% active CLA concentration offered by the competition – it allows for a more highly concentrated 1-gram capsule or enables manufacturers of nutraceutical products to offer a smaller capsule to the consumer. Clarinol™ is also the CLA brand that has the highest percentage of women more satisfied with its results than the other CLA brands.
